So... What's New at Alegup Kennels?

November, 2009 - Quenya Retires

Our wonderful Quenya developed pyometra (a serious, most often fatal, uterus infection) which required an emergency spay and heavy antiobiotics to save her life.  We are so very pleased to have her back in our home and enjoying her retirement.

Exciting Show News!

Mantoua (Mani) won a Best Puppy in Group Oct. 30th at the Island Dog Club shows (PEI) earning her an invitation to the Atlantic Top Dog Awards.  She showed very well the whole weekend and we are delighted with her progress.  More to come.  Picture on her page.  Click on "Our Dogs" and then Mani's name to see more.

As well - Booster (Alegup's Anita Little Boost) - has started her show training.  She is taking to it like a little super-star and will start showing spring, 2010.  Keep an eye out for both these super girls... we hope they will be on fire!

We Have Moved!

After four wonderful years in Fort Augustus my husband and I, along with the fur-kids, have moved to our new home in Clyde River, just minutes oustide of Charlottetown.  Our new home is much more central, easy to find, has river frontage, a beautiful large lot, and a giant cool basement for the dogs to stretch out and relax in in year-round comfort.

My email address has not changed but our phone number and address is new.  The information listed above is now our updated new location details.

New Puppy Arrival!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new female puppy from the USA.  She is sure to turn heads in the conformation ring and is outstanding for top quality health clearances as well as comes from generations of top show champions.  Her information will be listed under the "our dogs" webpage very soon.

June 22nd, 2009 - Litter Information

Quenya's breeding with Finn (see litter information for more details) was born via scheduled c-section Monday, June 22nd.  A healthy baby girl was born and both mom and baby are doing well.  Pictures and more information soon.
